Highlighting the difficulties faced by residents during monsoon months, Dr Chabbewal said that overflowing choes often disrupt movement and create hardships for villagers. He added that the bridges would provide a permanent solution to the recurring problem and ensure safer and smoother transportation.

Giving details of the projects, the MP said that Rs 6.46 crore would be spent on the bridge over Badla Choe, Rs 5.93 crore on the Manjhi Choe bridge and Rs 8.11 crore on the bridge over Bhangi Choe.

Dr Chabbewal said the demand for these bridges had remained pending for years and was repeatedly raised by residents of the area. He credited the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for approving the projects and ensuring the release of funds. He also expressed gratitude to Aam Aadmi Party Convener Arvind Kejriwal for supporting development initiatives in Punjab.
