Jalandhar, December 12

Keeping guests waiting for long, comedian Kapil Sharma and his Jalandhar-based bride Ginni Chatrath arrived for their wedding in the pandal of Cabbana Resorts at midnight.

While the groom came dressed in mehndi colour achkan with golden intricate weaving and while self-print pyjami, the bride complimented him in red and golden lehnga.

Ginni chose to wear mehndi colour jewellery to contrast with her dress and match with Kapil’s achkan. Kapil wore a light golden colour turban which had embellishment with three big green pieces of kundan jewellery on it. He wore long multi-string necklace of green stones and carried along a sword with green and golden sheath giving a maharaja kind of a look.

Seeming little nervous today unlike his rather a very usual overconfident style, he did not speak out much or answer any queries. On being quizzed about honeymoon destination, he said, “Let me first get married”.

Among guests who turned up at the occasion were Punjab ministers Navjot S Sidhu, who featured in his show Comedy Nights with Kapil, OP Soni and Sukhjinder Randhawa, Congress leader Avtar Henry, singers Jasbir Jassi, Hans Raj Hans and comedian Bharti Singh. Gurdas Maan performed live during the wedding. — TNS
