Kapurthala, July 11

Acting on the directions of Commissioner Municipal Corporation-cum-Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Sarangal, the authorities removed an unauthorised gate installed by a person in a street on Sultanpur Lodhi Road in Kapurthala city on Monday.

The MC Commissioner said the corporation had received a complaint on which a notice had been issued to the builder concerned on March 19, 2020, and another notice on July 3, 2020 by the Assistant Town Planner. He said the builder had started to remove the gate, but later stopped it.

The Municipal Commissioner also informed that a final notice was issued on April 22 this year to the builder under which orders were issued to remove the gate in the street and to demolish its roof. The notice was also sent to the party concerned by the registered post to which the builder concerned neither responded nor removed the gate completely.

Later, the gate installed in the street was removed. The MC commissioner has made it clear that any unauthorised occupancy of government properties, etc. would not be tolerated and strict action would be taken against the guilty.
