Kapurthala DC visits areas near Dhussi bundh


Kapurthala, February 13

Deputy Commissioner Deepti Uppal today visited the Dhussi bundh along with the Beas in the district. Accompanied by officers of the Irrigation and Revenue departments, the Deputy Commissioner visited villages near the Dhussi bundh and advance bundhs such as Baghuwal, Kammewal, Kishan Singh Wala, Dera Hari Singh, Passan Kadeem, Mand Baupur Island, Pantoon Bridge, Saroopwal, Bharoana, Tibbi and Giddarpindi Bridge.

She directed the officials to strengthen flood-prone sensitive places to minimise damage in the rainy season.

The DC asked the officers to ensure that residents of villages should not face any sort of problem in the rainy season. The DC was accompanied by District Revenue Officer Paramjit Singh Sahota, SDO Kanwaljit Lal and others.— TNS
