Hoshiarpur: The police have registered a case against two accused on the charge of cheating of Rs 10.56 lakh. Ravinder Singh, a resident of Tanda Ram Sahay, told the police that in the name of sending him to Portugal, Rallhan village resident Dogar Mal and Paramjit Singh, a resident of village Naviyan Bagdian of district Gurdaspur, allegedly cheated him. After registering the case, the police have started further action.

Cash, mobile snatched

Hoshiarpur: The police have registered a case on the charge of snatching Rs 5,000 and a mobile phone at gunpoint. However, the police have not named anyone. Istiyaz of village Gadi Adowal, told the police that he was going to the market on his scooter to buy ration. On the way, two accused on a bike stopped him and snatched Rs 5,000 at gunpoint and his mobile from him. After registering the case, the police have started further action.
