Man killed in road mishap

JALANDHAR: Manjit Singh, a 53-year-old man, was killed in a road accident at Kathgarh on late on Monday night. The mishap took place when the man’s Maruti Swift Dzire car had a head-on collision with a Tata Safari vehicle.

Manjit Singh, a 53-year-old man, was killed in a road accident at Kathgarh on late on Monday night.

The mishap took place when the man’s Maruti Swift Dzire car had a head-on collision with a Tata Safari vehicle. The victim belonged to Mehndipur village in Balachau. The police said he was on his way to his home from Rupnagar. The police said the collision was so strong that Manjit died on the spot, while Maninder Singh, the driver of the other vehicle, sustained serious injuries.

Maninder, a resident of Khattkar Khurd in Banga, has been booked in the matter. A case was registered against him under various Sections of the Indian Penal Code.
