Mata Gujri School trounce Kapurthala school

JALANDHAR: On the second day of the ongoing 15th All India Balwant Singh Kapur Hockey Tournament for Mata Parkash Kaur Cup (U-19), Mata Gujri Public School Shahbad Markanda got the better of Government Randhir School Kapurthala by beating the school 4-3 at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here.

On the second day of the ongoing 15th All India Balwant Singh Kapur Hockey Tournament for Mata Parkash Kaur Cup (U-19), Mata Gujri Public School Shahbad Markanda got the better of Government Randhir School Kapurthala by beating the school 4-3 at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium here.

In another match, the Government Model School Mohali locked with Govt School Chehartta (Amritsar) 1-1. Both goals scored in the first five minutes.For Chehartta, Akashpreet scored in the second minute and equaliser comes from the stick of Parteek Singh in the fifth minute.

In the knockout match Mata Gujri School Shahbad School and Government Randhir School, Kapurthala, boys displayed good controlled hockey. At half time, Kapurthala was leading 3-2. But in the last two minutes boys of Shahbad scool scored two goals in a row to won the match.
