Jalandhar: An MBA student of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Technical Campus, Manish Kumar, has been selected by PATH — a non-profit international global health organisation based in Seattle (America) — as a commercialisation officer (Rice Fortification) on a pay package of Rs 20 lakh per annum. Shifali from the same department has bagged a job in Jaro Education Private Limited on a salary package of Rs 8.46 lakh per annum. Priya was selected by Intellipat Technologies Pvt Ltd on a salary package of Rs 5.54 lakh per annum. Muskan, Manjinder and Sourabhjeet of MBA (final year) were selected by Yes Bank on a package of Rs 3.1 lakh per annum, including incentives. David has joined Star Daichi Life Insurance on a salary package of Rs 3 lakh per annum. Kirandeep Kaur is works with ICICI Bank and Chandni Axis Bank on a pay package of Rs 3 lakh per annum. Sukhbir Singh Chatha, Director (Academic Affairs), congratulated the selected students and their parents for their achievement.
Eklavya school student clears JEE
Jagnoor Singh Marok, a student of Class XII of Eklavya School, has brought laurels to the school by clearing the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE Mains) with 95.9 percentile. He wants to pursue Computer Science & Engineering from IIT. The parents of Jagnoor were congratulated by the school administration. This was a great achievement on part of the student and the school. He also thanked the teachers for their cooperation. He was congratulated by Director Seema Handa and Principal Komal Arora.
Workshop on prevention of anger
The Freudian Psychological Society of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organised a one-day workshop on “Prevention and Control of Anger”. Shilpi, a counsellor at Reveal and Heal, was welcomed by the head of the PG Department of Psychology, Dr Ashmeen Kaur, with a planter and painting by the students of HMV as a token of appreciation. During the course of the workshop, Shilpi discussed the key points of anger and the necessity to manage it successfully. Further, three forms of aggression, their causes along with the physiological and psychological conditions were discussed in detail. Anger identification strategies in today’s youth were also discussed along with coping strategies and control measures like catharsis and guided visualisation. Shilpi also talked about how importance and development of self-esteem, self-confidence, good humour and positive outlook could help curb aggression. During the event, Principal Dr Ajay Sareen discussed how the ability to control our aggression could be beneficial from every aspect of an individual’s life and discussed various coping strategies.
