The Municipal Corporation Jalandhar, through its City Livelihood Centre (CLC), has commenced a comprehensive household survey across the city aimed at assessing the socio-economic conditions, needs and concerns of residents.
According to officials, the initiative seeks to gather detailed and accurate data that will enable the civic body to design and implement more effective, inclusive and citizen-centric services. The survey will cover households across various wards, with trained teams visiting residents to collect relevant information.
Appealing for public cooperation, the Municipal Corporation has urged citizens to extend full support to the survey teams and provide complete and accurate details. Authorities have assured residents that all information collected during the exercise will be kept strictly confidential and used solely for official planning and policy purposes.
Officials emphasised that active participation from citizens is crucial to building a more responsive and better-served city. The survey findings are expected to play a key role in strengthening civic infrastructure, enhancing service delivery and improving the overall quality of life in Jalandhar.
Residents have been encouraged to contribute wholeheartedly to the initiative and partner with the civic administration in its efforts to transform Jalandhar into a model city.
