MC questions working of Sidhu

A chaos was witnessed in general meeting of the Municipal Corporation Phagwara during allegations and counter-allegations between the councillors belonging to the Congress and SAD-BJP here on Saturday evening.

Mayor Arun Khosla presided over the meeting. BJP Councillor Anurag Mankhand raised the questions on how could local Bodies Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu can inaugurate the Parking Complex and Auditorium in Phagwara on June 15 without taking Mayor, Deputy Mayors, all Councillors and even BJP MLA Som Parkash into confidence.

Phagwara MLA Som Parkash said he would raise the issue of illegal inauguration of the Parking Complex by Navjot Singh Sidhu, who too allegedly used unparliamentary language during the inauguration function of June 15.

Several Councillors levelled charges of corruption against Arun Khosla.
