Punjab Health Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu said Mission Fateh was initiated by the state government to win over Covid-19 and the state would soon be free from the pandemic. At a meeting held with officials at the District Administrative Complex, Hoshiarpur, on Wednesday, he reviewed the Covid-19 relief operations in the district.

He said with ‘Mission Fateh’ under the leadership of Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh, the state government had made all necessary arrangements to deal with the coronavirus. The government has not left any stone unturned in providing medicines and health services, adding that sampling will be expedited at the district-level.

Sidhu said: “There is no need to frighten but the people should ensure that the directives of the government and district administration are followed so that the pandemic can be eradicated.”
