MP Chaudhary opens facilitation camp at Sangh Dhesian village

The district administration organised a public facilitation camp at Sangh Dhesian village, near Goraya, today under the Mahatama Gandhi Sarbat Vikas Yojna (MGSVY). As many as 1,321 people registered themselves for availing the benefits of the various schemes of the state government.

The camp was inaugurated by MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh in the presence Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh and general secretary of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary.

The camp was organised to provide citizen-centric services to people at their doorsteps. The purpose behind organising the camp was to facilitate the people for getting the facilities of pro-people schemes of the state government under single roof.

The key departments of the state government, including Health and Family Welfare, Social Security, Agriculture, Cooperative, Employment Generation, Revenue and others were roped in to deliver services to the people during these camps, in which special stalls would be installed by them.

Chaudhary said: “The mega camps, being organised by the state government under MGSVY were instrumental in giving major fillip to the overall development of villages and prosperity of its people.”

He said it was a path-breaking initiative aimed at ensuring the well-being of every strata of the society.

The MP said the basic idea of organising these camps was to ensure that the needy people could get the benefits of pro-poor schemes of the state government.

He further said the camp aimed to achieve the aim of the holistic development of all sections of the society besides ensuring social justice and equality by improving the standard of living and quality of life in rural area.

Chaudhary lauded the work being done by the state government under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh to ensure the welfare of every section of society.

The Deputy Commissioner informed the people about the salient features of the MGSVY and exhorted them to take maximum benefit of the scheme.

General secretary, Punjab Pradesh Congress committee, Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary listed the pro-people and development-oriented initiatives taken by the state government. He said the state government was committed for the overall development of the state.
