Jalandhar, February 29

Members of Kirti Kisan Union today staged a protest at the DC Office in Jalandhar and demanded that the “murderers” of farmer Subhkaran Singh be named in the FIR against them.

They also demanded that injured farmers be treated on government expenses, the authorities ensure the repair and functioning of vehicles of farmers which have been damaged and farmers be allowed to protest in Delhi.

They also demanded that a law on MSP law be made and India should opt out of the WTO. The dharna was led by Kirti Kisan Union district president Santokh Singh Sandhu and district secretary Gurkamal Singh, Surinder Singh Kandola and others.
