The National Equestrian Championship-2025 (tent pegging) is being conducted by Punjab Police on PAP campus here on February 15 and 16 under the aegis of the Equestrian Federation Of India.

Gaurav Yadav, DGP, Punjab, is the chief patron of the championship. MF Farooqui, ADGP, State Armed Police, and Inderbir Singh, DIG, PAP, are the chairman and organising secretary of the organising committee, respectively. The opening ceremony will be held on February 15 and Yadav will be the chief guest.

In this championship, 15 teams from different state police forces, Central armed police forces, Army, Navy and some private clubs will participate . The equestrian team of Punjab Police will also participate.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
