Indian Medical Association (IMA) today held a strike against the attack on two junior doctors at a hospital in Kolkata last week.
The doctors expressed solidarity with their colleagues in West Bengal. They started a ‘rosh march’ from Chandigarh Road and visited various places.
They were wearing black badges as they held a massive protest. They said the incident was not acceptable and the state governments must make sure that no such incident happens in future.
The doctors said they were not feeling safe. “It was not acceptable that the doctors had to go through this situation,” the doctors said.
The Medical Laboratory Association also extended support to the Indian Medical Association.
