New industrial area in Hoshiarpur soon: Arora

HOSHIARPUR: Minister for Industries and Commerce Sunder Sham Arora held a meeting with industrialists here yesterday.

Minister for Industries and Commerce Sunder Sham Arora held a meeting with industrialists here yesterday.

He said: “The state government will develop a new industrial area in Hoshiarpur and search for the requisite land is on. Besides, the existing industrial area will also be developed, and the problems faced by the industrialists will be resolved on priority.”

The industrialists, led by CM Puri, met Sunder Sham Arora and apprised him of their problems. They urged the minister to resolve the problems being faced by them and reiterated their commitment towards the development of the state.

Arora said the development of the existing industrial area was the first priority of the government, adding that the industry generated the employment resources.

He assured the industrialists that the arrangements related to cleanliness, street lights, besides other facilities in the industrial area would be resolved soon. — OC
