Jalandhar, December 8
A Nigerian national was arrested here today for reportedly supplying heroin. The suspect has been identified as Ovi, a resident of Avmadvan in Uli, Nigeria.
ASI Jaswinder Singh, CIA staff officer, and his team arrested the suspect at a ‘naka’ laid at a tea point, near Subhana. Ovi tried to escape from the spot but was overpowered by the police.
The police seized 255 gm of heroin from the accused. The poice have registered a case under Sections 21, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act.
