Olympian Jarnail Singh memorial football meet begins
The 22nd state-level Olympian Jarnail Singh Football Tournament, being organised by the Olympian Jarnail Singh Memorial Football Tournament Committee, Garhshankar, begun with pomp and show at Olympian Jarnail Singh Football Stadium of Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College here under the leadership of former MLA Surinder Singh Bhullewal Rathan, patron of the committee.
On the occasion of the inauguration of the tournament, SGPC member Sant Charanjit Singh Jassowal prayed for the start of the event. In the presence of the committee patron and its president Mukhtiar Singh Happy Heer, SGPC members Dr Jang Bahadur Singh Roi and Charanjit Jassowal introduced players and inaugurated the tournament by releasing balloons in the air.
