PHAGWARA, JANUARY 13
A young differently-abled woman was allegedly raped by a youth, identified as Hamreessh, of Pasla village on Thursday. The accused was arrested on Friday. The woman was alone at her house at the time of the crime, the police said. The family of the victim was away to attend a marriage in Phagwara and came to know about the crime after they came back. The victim was immediately admitted to a hospital and the doctors confirmed the crime.
The Goraya Police have registered a case under Section 376 of the IPC against the accused.
