Former Jalandhar MLA and BJP leader Sheetal Angural strongly has criticised the statements made by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders regarding the so-called ‘Operation Lotus’. Speaking to media persons here on Thursday, he said that whenever the AAP government faces instability, it tries to divert attention from its failures by spreading false propaganda.

He stated that before targeting Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the AAP leaders should introspect. Haryana is among the leading states in terms of development, and its people are benefiting from progressive governance. The massive mandate received again reflects the people’s trust in his leadership, he added.

Angural, who had quit as an MLA while resigning from AAP and had rejoined the BJP in March 2023, alleged that AAP is misleading people on the basis of false narratives. He said that even after he submitted complete information and call recordings, no concrete action has been taken so far. His mobile phone remains in police custody, yet the culprits have not been identified.

He added that if a government cannot trace the phone numbers of offenders in four years, expecting security from it is like deceiving self. He appealed to the people of Punjab to give a decisive mandate to BJP in 2027 so that Punjab can become a leading state under a secure and development-oriented model.

He questioned AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and asked them to explain what major milestones they have achieved in the past four years.

BJP district general secretary Ashok Sareen Hickey and party leader Rajesh Kapoor were also present on the occasion.
