The meeting of Hoshiarpur unit of Punjab State Ministerial Pensioners Association (PSMPA) Union was held under the patronage of Ram Murthy Bhardwaj, Superintendent (retd) PWD, and Avtar Singh.

Punjab State Ministerial Pensioners Association district unit was elected. On this occasion, Ram Murthy Bhardwaj was elected the chairman, Avtar Singh patron, Waryam Singh Minhas as president and Jasvir Singh Sadhra as general secretary.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
