Phagwara police crackdown on drummer’s murder: 4 arrested, arms seized

The Phagwara police have arrested four persons involved in the murder of a young drummer shot dead on December 3 in Hadiabad. SP Madhvi Sharma confirmed the arrests, identifying the prime accused as Jaspreet Singh alias Jassi, along with Raj Karan alias Golu, Chetan, and Amritpal Singh alias Amit.

Police seized a 7.65 mm pistol and a Hyundai Creta car allegedly used in the crime. Jassi already faced three criminal cases. The murder followed a minor argument, and the victim, Avinash alias Golu, was declared dead at the hospital.

SSP Kapurthala Gaurav Toora praised the police teams’ efforts, stating strict action will be taken against those involved. “No individual will be allowed to take the law into their own hands,” he said.
