Physics Wallah to help govt school students crack JEE, NEET

The initiative aims to provide quality coaching and expert guidance to deserving students who aspire to secure admission in premier engineering and medical institutions, but may not have access to costly coaching programmes.

Principal Rajeev Handa said nearly 15 faculty members from Physics Wallah have been deployed to conduct offline classes in physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. The sessions have been specially designed to strengthen students in conceptual understanding and competitive examination skills.

The camp is fully residential, with free accommodation, meals and academic facilities being provided to all participants. According to school authorities, the programme primarily targets students who have recently moved from Class X to XI and Class XI to XII, enabling them to begin focused preparation well before appearing for the entrance examinations.

School officials said the residential format would allow students from remote districts to participate without facing travel or accommodation constraints while also ensuring a disciplined academic environment.

Earlier, a similar residential coaching programme, under the state's Punjab Academic Coaching for Excellence (PACE) programme, was held at the Meritorious School on Kapurthala Road from April 12 to May 10, attracting nearly 409 students from across Punjab. Of these, around 359 were JEE aspirants, while 50 were preparing for the NEET examination.
