PIMS holds free of cost health camp at Chak Hakim, 150 patients examined

PIMS Hospital, Jalandhar, organised a free medical health check-up camp at the Panchayat Ghar in village Chak Hakim, Tehsil Phagwara, providing much-needed healthcare services to rural residents. The camp was held from 9.30 am to 2.00 pm and witnessed encouraging participation from the local community.

The camp was inaugurated by village Sarpanch Varun Bangar, who appreciated the initiative and said that such health camps prove highly beneficial for villagers as they get access to specialist doctors and medical consultation at their doorstep. He thanked the PIMS Hospital team for extending quality healthcare services to rural areas and expressed hope that similar initiatives would continue in the future.

During the camp, facilities for General OPD, Eye (Ophthalmology) OPD, and Orthopaedic OPD were provided. The team of specialist doctors included Dr Samreen Kaur Bath (Eye Specialist), Dr Vishwa Nath Kaler (Orthopaedic Specialist), and Dr Manoj Mogre (General Physician), who conducted detailed examinations of patients. The doctors also created awareness about preventive healthcare, regular medical check-ups, and the importance of maintaining a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Approximately 150 patients were examined free of cost during the camp. Necessary medicines were distributed free of charge to the needy and patients were given proper medical advice and guidance for further treatment wherever required. Residents of the area appreciated the initiative, stating that such camps play a vital role in strengthening healthcare facilities in villages and ensuring early diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Among those present on the occasion were Dr Navjot Kumar, Dr Jasveer Kaur, Dr Raj Rani, Parmjit (Panch), Rajni (Panch), Seema (Panch), Anita Rani (Panch), Tilak Raj, Satpal, Balveer Kumar (Chowkidar), Parmjit Kaur (ASHA Worker), along with other dignitaries and village residents.
