PMLA investigation: ED raid on Bajaj brothers continues for second day
Bajaj brothers had been receiving major contracts in Ludhiana, Jalandhar and other states
A raid started by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at the premises of Municipal Corporation contractors Inderjit Bajaj and Amit Bajaj since Tuesday morning continued till Wednesday evening.
The ED teams arrived at Bajaj brothers' place around 7 am on Tuesday. They have been conducting raids at his house and office, both located in New Jawahar Nagar locality here. There are reports that the teams have been able to lay hands on several documents and electronic devices.
Bajaj brothers had been receiving major contracts in Ludhiana, Jalandhar and other states. They had also been working closely with AAP leaders in the state, providing them all the required support.
The raids had started simultaneously at six locations, including Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Bareilly, Noida and New Delhi in connection with Punjab minister Sanjeev Arora's ongoing investigations for checking violations of Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
