Police Commissioner holds meeting with junior staff

JALANDHAR:Police Commissioner Jalandhar Arpit Shukla today conducted a meeting with the munshis (clerks) of all the police stations at the Police Lines.

Police Commissioner Jalandhar Arpit Shukla today conducted a meeting with the munshis (clerks) of all the police stations at the Police Lines.

DCP Harjit Singh and ACP Headquarter Deepika Singh was also present in the meeting. 

Shukla first held personal interaction with every police personnel and also sought suggestion from them to improve the working of police stations.

During meeting, Shukla told all the munishis to discharge their duties honestly and never indulge in any corrupt practices.

During his address Shukla said, "Munishi, who is considered as mother of the police station, should deal with public politely when they come to file any complaint. The polite attitude will improve the image of the police in the society."

He informed the cops that DGP had recently announced to give Rs 50,000 monthly to Category A police stations, Rs 30,000 to Category B and Rs, 20,000 to Category C police stations for monthly expenses.
