Prasada meets BJP leaders, traders

Charged up after the recent Lok Sabha elections wherein the BJP’s vote share had gone up to 18 pc in Punjab, party leaders say that they have already started preparations for the 2027 Assembly elections.
Several leaders from the central BJP leadership have already started coming to Punjab and holding meetings with BJP leaders and industrialists.
A meeting with the same agenda was organised at the house of BJP’s national spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill in Jalandhar. Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jitin Prasada attended the meeting.
District BJP leaders, including former MP Sushil Rinku, former minister Manoranjan Kalia, former MLA Avinash Chander, ex-Mayor Rakesh Rathore, Amarjeet Singh Amri, Ashok Sareen Hicky and others, were present in this meeting.
Shergill had also played an important role in organising a meeting of the Union MoS with industrialists in Jalandhar. He also held a separate meeting with traders.
The district leaders apprised Prasada about the condition of the industry and also gave their suggestions to revive the marginalised industry. The minister assured them that the Centre would provide full support to the industry.
Prasada asked the district leadership to start preparing for the elections. He asked the local leaders to spread a word about the work of the BJP among the people. The district leadership assured the Union MoS that they would work for the party with their full strength.
