The Punjab Government has initiated a training programme for Kanungos and Patwaris to update land records through the digitised cadastral maps using the Bhunaksha portal. The training session was conducted for officials from Kapurthala tehsil and Dhilwan sub-tehsil, along with master trainers from Phagwara, Sultanpur Lodhi and Bholath tehsils, and Talwandi Chaudharian sub-tehsil.

Deputy Commissioner, Kapurthala, Amit Kumar Panchal, directed all Kanungos and Patwaris to complete the training efficiently and ensure the seamless implementation of land record updates in accordance with government guidelines. Each patwari has been tasked with updating land records for two villages to ensure the effective execution of the initiative.
