PSO team win BBMB cricket tourney

The Beas Dam administration organised an Inter-Circle Cricket and Athletics Tournament. The event was conducted by the Talwara Unit Sports Committee at the Nursery Ground. Along with cricket, shot put and discus throw competitions were also organised for both men and women. A total of 25 female employees participated in the women’s category events.

During the final cricket match, deputy chief engineer Vimal Kumar Meena was the chief guest. He honoured the winners and stated that such sports events help strengthen team spirit and discipline among BBMB employees.

On the occasion, Sports Committee secretary and executive engineer Ravinder Singh welcomed the guests and shared details about the committee’s activities.

Sports Manager Keval Singh said that five teams participated in the tournament, including Pong Dam Circle, Chief Engineer Office, PSO, Power Wing, and Talwara Circle. In the final match, the PSO team defeated the Pong Dam Circle team by two wickets to clinch the trophy. In the women’s shot put event, Manisha secured the first position while Pramila Bishnoi stood second. In the women’s discus throw, Manisha again claimed first position and Heena secured second place. In the men’s shot put event, Rahul Thapa stood first and Varinder Kumar second.
