A district-level special training session on the Revenue Court Management System (RCMS) was organised here on Monday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain. Readers and advocates associated with revenue courts participated in the training, which aimed to make the functioning of revenue courts more digital, transparent and efficient.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner said that all revenue court cases in the district would now be handled under the e-filing system. She explained that through RCMS, facilities such as online filing of cases, tracking of hearing status, easy access to orders and systematic record management have been provided. This, she said, would significantly reduce the need for people to make repeated visits to government offices.
Ashika Jain also sought feedback from officials on key issues related to RCMS, including the status of e-filing, uploading of pending and new revenue court cases on the RCMS portal, and progress in training of staff and advocates. She directed officials to ensure that all revenue court cases in the district are fully uploaded on the RCMS portal and that no technical or procedural gaps remain at any level.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that training of staff and advocates has almost been completed and refresher training sessions would be organised in future whenever required. She expressed confidence that effective implementation of RCMS would lead to faster disposal of revenue court cases and further strengthen transparency and accountability in administrative functioning. District Revenue Officer Amandeep Chawla, District System Manager Charan Kanwal and other officials were also present on the occasion.
