Rs 80K looted at gunpoint from petrol pump

Armed men looted Rs80,000 at gunpoint from a HP petrol pump near Prempur village in Tanda on Friday.

According to information, Ganga Ram, who worked at Sumitra HP pump, said around 5.30 pm, two persons with their faces covered came to the pump on a bike.

He said they got petrol filled for Rs50 and left the pump. After some time, the accused came again and pointed pistols at him and two other employees — Mahesh Kumar and Raju, Ram added.

The accused snatched a bag containing Rs80,000 and mobile phones and fled from the spot. The police reached the spot and initiated a probe into the incident. CCTV cameras installed at the pump were not working when the incident took place. — OC

Ganga Ram, who worked at Sumitra HP pump, said two youths got petrol filled for Rs 50 and left the pump. After some time, they came again and pointed pistols at him and two other employees, he added. After that, they fled with a bag containing Rs 80,000 and mobile phones.
