SAD councillor, husband submit reply to party notice

Contractor Baljinder Singh has submitted his response to the show-cause notice issued by the Shiromani Akali Dal on the alleged support to the Congress during the Phagwara Municipal Corporation mayoral election. The notice was also addressed to his wife and councillor Jaswinder Kaur. Baljinder and Jaswinder refuted the claims of supporting the Congress during the mayoral election held on February 1. They clarified that the allegations were baseless and that they had strictly adhered to the directives issued by the Shiromani Akali Dal high command.

The response comes amidst speculations regarding internal differences within the party following the mayoral election, with party leadership closely monitoring the situation.
