Salon owner committed suicide, claim police

JALANDHAR: Solving the mystery behind the death of a salon owner, Arun Bassi (38), alias Jogi, a resident of Basti Peer Daad, the Government Railway Police (GRP) today claimed that the deceased had committed suicide.

Solving the mystery behind the death of a salon owner, Arun Bassi (38), alias Jogi, a resident of Basti Peer Daad, the Government Railway Police (GRP) today claimed that the deceased had committed suicide.

GRP SHO Dharminder Kalyan said during the investigation, they found a video in the mobile phone of the saloon owner, which was recorded by the deceased four hours prior to the suicide.

In his video,  Arun had mentioned that he was committing suicide because of his friend Deepak Sharma alias Mona, a Congress leader.

The SHO confirmed that the body was not thrown on the rail tracks. The forensic reports revealed that the victim came to the spot and no injuries were found on his body.

On February 10, Arun was allegedly found dead near a rail track in Shiv Nagar, Sodal. Family members of the victim alleged in their complaint to the police that he had been killed by his friends and the call list of his friends should be traced.

“The whole incident is being framed as a case of suicide but it’s not a suicide. It’s a well-planned murder,” the family members and relatives of the deceased had alleged.
