Jalandhar, January 28

A school student was injured in an attack by a pitbull here on Tuesday. The victim, a resident of Purian Mohalla near Mai Hiran Gate, was returning home on his bicycle after attending his tuition classes this evening when the dog attacked him.

Though residents of the area came to his rescue and attempted to shoo away the dog, it continued to hold the victim by his leg for over five minutes. The victim suffered deep injuries and were admitted to a local hospital.
