School students clash outside police station, 1 injured

Students of the local NC Model School clashed outside the Jalandhar Cantonment Police Station here during which a Class X student suffered injuries from a sharp-edged weapon on his neck.

The students had clashed three days ago also outside the school premises. A fight had then erupted between some students of Classes X and XI. During the previous incident also, some students had suffered injuries and their MLR report had been sent to the police station. All the students involved in the clash were minors.

The cops had on Saturday summoned both sides. When they gathered outside the gates of the police station, they exchanged arguments again.

The brother of one boy, who had suffered injuries during the previous clash, took out a sharp-edged weapon and hit out a Class X student. The boy suffered injuries on his neck and was immediately shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment. ACP Cantt Swaranjit Singh said that FIR No. 30 had been lodged against the accused under the relevant Sections of the BNS.
