Seven held with narcotics, liquor in villages of Hoshiarpur district

Further investigations underway in all cases

The police have recovered a large quantity of narcotics and arrested seven persons in separate operations in this connection across the district.

In the first case, the Mahilpur police arrested two accused, identified as Satpal Singh, alias Sona, of Bhajla village and Vishal Sethi of Meghowal village, after recovering 30 grams of heroin from their possession.

In the second case, the Chabbewal police arrested Amanpreet Singh, alias Aman, and Ravinder Singh, alias Raja, of Chabbewal after recovering a large quantity of banned pills.

In the third case, the Mukerian police arrested two accused, Gurmukh Singh of Pasi Vet village and Ashok Kumar, alias Kalu, of Talwara, after recovering huge quantity of banned tablets from them.

In the fourth case, the Tanda police arrested Rakesh Kumar of Jalal Nangal village after recovering 15,000 ml of illicit liquor from him. The police further investigations were underway in all cases.
