Shram ashram inspected in Kapurthala
A quarterly inspection of Arya Vatsalya Vedic Shram Ashram, located near the Kapurthala Railway Station, was conducted under the leadership of Kapurthala Additional Deputy Commissioner Navneet Kaur Ball. The inspection was carried out in accordance with Form 46 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015, to ensure compliance with the standards for child welfare.
The ashram, which is registered under the Juvenile Justice Act, provides care and support to children in need. During the inspection, the facilities provided to the children, such as accommodation, food, and other essential amenities, were thoroughly reviewed.
Ball encouraged the children residing in the ashram to prioritise their education and utilise the resources provided to them.
Prominent officials present during the inspection included District Programme Officer Rajeev Dhanda, District Child Protection Officer Yogesh Kumari, mental health expert Dr Aman Sood, advocate Chandan Puri, and social worker Gurpreet Singh.
This inspection highlighted the efforts of the administration to ensure that children in care homes received the necessary support and opportunities for their overall development.
