SSP lays stress on curbing drug mafia, fake travel agents

Phagwara: The SSP, Kapurthala, Satinder Singh, has instructed cops to launch a large scale campaign against the drug menace and fake travel agents with the assistance of representatives of various social organisations and educational institutions. 

The SSP stressed the need for curbing the drug mafia.

He said seminars would be held at various educational institutions to make the youth aware of the bad effects of drugs. He advised the people to take assistance of registered travel agents.

Commenting on law and order, the SSP said nobody would be allowed to take law into his own hands at any cost and law breakers would be dealt with firm hands. He advised the cops to be friendly with citizens.

Replying to a question about increasing traffic problem, he said steps would be taken in this regard, but people should follow the traffic rules. — OC
