State technical varsity launches admission portal
IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG-PTU) has launched its registration-cum-admission portal for the new academic session 2026-27.
Vice-chancellor Dr Susheel Mittal launched the website under the motto, ‘Maximum Digital Solutions and Facilitation to Students’. The university conducts its admissions through digital medium every year and updates its digital admission portal every time after receiving the feedback from students and their parents. The officials said that the admission portal has been made even more student-friendly.
The varsity has opened admissions through this portal at its main campus in Kapurthala and other campuses in Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Mohali and Batala. Vice-chancellor Dr Mittal shared that IKG-PTU is providing the best faculty and infrastructure at all its campuses at a nominal fee as per the vision of the Punjab government. He said that students from other states were also approaching through digital medium for admissions in all campuses of the university.
He appealed to parents and students to check the capability and capacity of educational institutions through the digital medium. IKG-PTU Registrar Dr Navdeepak Sandhu, Dean Academics-cum-Chief Coordinator (Admissions) Dr Yadwinder Singh Brar, Dean (R&D) Dr Parveen Bansal, Dean Dr Gaurav Bhargava, Finance Officer Dr Sukhbir Singh Walia, Controller Examinations Dr Paramjit Singh, Associate Dean Dr Rajeev Bedi, Deputy Registrar (Academics and Admissions) Dr Pawan Garg and HODs of academic campus courses and university officers were present at the ceremony.
