Strict action sought against perpetrators behind Delhi blast

Parshuram Sena state vice-president Hariom Sharma Loveli  has condemned the blast near the Red Fort in Delhi on  Monday evening, calling it an attack on humanity and demanding the  harshest punishment for those responsible.

In  a statement issued here, Loveli expressed condolences to the families  of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to the injured. He urged  the Centre to ensure that those involved in planning the  attack are brought to justice, regardless of where they may be hiding.  “Humanity’s enemies must not be spared under any circumstances,” he  said.

Referring to media  reports about the detention of certain suspects, Loveli said past incidents suggested a possible link to extremist elements operating  from across the border. He claimed that previous experiences indicated the  involvement of Pakistan-based terror outfits in such attacks. According  to him, attempts made by India in the past to curb cross-border  terrorism had not deterred those responsible.

Loveli  questioned the security arrangements in one of Delhi’s most sensitive  and busiest zones, saying that if the national capital can be targeted,  then no other city can be considered secure. He also demanded strict action against individuals  or groups aiding terrorists within the country. He said national  security should remain the top priority and urged the government to  respond firmly.
