Vijay Mohan, table tennis coach at MGN Public School, Kapurthala, delivered a noteworthy performance at the 2nd Late Suresh Sharma Ji Memorial Masters Table Tennis Tournament, organised by the Ludhiana District Table Tennis Association. Competing against seasoned players, Mohan showcased his skills and composure, and went on to secure the silver medal in the 40+ category.
He also clinched bronze medals in the 39+ and doubles categories. His multi-category success underlines his fitness, strategic acumen and sustained competitive edge in masters-level table tennis. His achievements at the event have brought laurels to the institution and the district.
Mohan had recently played in an open table tennis tournament held in Thailand, where he competed against international participants, gaining exposure and experience on the global stage. Over the past year, he has taken part in several tournaments held in Panchkula, Ludhiana, Solan and other prominent venues.
Beyond his personal accomplishments, Mohan’s impact is also reflected in the achievements of his students. Under his mentorship and structured coaching, players of MGN Public School, Kapurthala, achieved a clean sweep of medals at the Kapurthala District Table Tennis Tournament. The school team further demonstrated its competitive strength by reaching the quarterfinals of the Punjab School Table Tennis Tournament, marking a significant milestone for the institution.
