Phagwara, July 14
The police arrested three persons with two countrymade pistols, 25 live cartridges and two sharp-edged weapons here on Saturday.
The police also recovered a car from the accused.
Kapurthala SSP Satinder Singh said the accused had been identified as Parwinder Singh, alias Pindu, of Chack Sabu village; Jasbir Singh of Rihana Jattan village; and Sarabjit Singh of Mirapur village.
Phagwara SP Parminder Singh Bhandhal said the accused were wanted in an attempt-to-murder case of Parminder Singh, a resident of Sahni village.
A case under Sections 307, 326, 324, 341, 148, 149, 506 and 120-B of the IPC and Arms Act was registered against them.
The accused were produced before a judicial magistrate, who sent them to three-day police remand.
