Traffic police greet offenders with roses

Jalandhar, January 14

After installing reflectors on city roads, the traffic police on Tuesday greeted traffic offenders with roses under the 31 National Road Safety Week.

Instead of issuing challans, ADCP (Traffic) Gaganesh Kumar and ACP (Traffic) Harbinder Singh, along with traffic police personnel, gave roses to commuters who were found violating traffic rules during a camp organised at Guru Nanak Mission Chowk on the fourth day of the week.

Nayan Jassal, Secretary, Regional Transport Authority (RTA), distributed pamphlets on road safety among commuters and made them aware of traffic rules. — TNS
