Police officials at the CIA Staff-1 today managed to arrest two suspects who were booked under the Arms Act on August 13.
One of the accomplice of the two suspects, Mahinder Singh, a resident of Basti Nah, who was earlier arrested by the Police Division 5 confessed during the police remand that the two suspects were possessing illegal weapons. The three were booked under Sections 25-54-59 of the Arms Act at the Police Division 5.
After receiving information from sources, the police arrested the two suspects from their houses. The suspects were identified as Varun Sharma, alias Pandit, a resident of Shastri Nagar, and Prabhjot Singh, a resident of Model House.
An illegal pistol of 7.62 bore and three live cartridges were recovered from their possession.
