Acting on the directions of the Punjab State Election Commission, Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Akash Bansal has released the detailed schedule for the revision process. According to the announcement, the draft voter list will be published on April 15 and will be made available on the district’s official website for public access and verification. The schedule provides a window from April 17 to 23 for residents to file claims and objections.
During this period, eligible individuals can apply for inclusion of their names, request corrections in personal details or object to any incorrect or ineligible entries in the list. To further facilitate the process and ensure wider public participation, special camps will be organised on April 20 and 21, where officials will assist citizens in completing the required formalities and documentation.
The District Election Officer stated that all claims and objections received during the period will be examined and resolved by April 30. Following this, the final voter list will be published on May 5.
For submitting claims and objections, Form No. 7, 8, and 9 can be obtained from the offices of the SDM-cum-Electoral Registration Officer.
Additionally, these forms are available for download on the official website of the State Election Commission, making the process more accessible and convenient for the public. Emphasising the importance of active civic participation, the District Election Officer appealed to all residents to verify their details in the voter list and take steps to ensure their inclusion.
