Woollens, eatables given to students at charity event

City-based NGO EduYouth Foundation conducted a charity event for students at Guru Nanak Public School, Wariana, Jalandhar. Sweaters and refreshments such as biscuits, sandwiches, chips and juice packs were distributed among 150 students. The students were from nursery to Class VI.

The school administration and staff cooperated and supported the event. Prof Kanwar Sartaj Singh, president, said the NGO’s motive is to encourage young generation to perform well in the field of education. Youngsters are future of our nation and it is the moral duty of all citizens to provide them with the best possible resources to complete their studies. Special thanks was extended to school principal Iqbal Singh for smooth conduct of the event.

MD Iqbal Singh and principal Kawaljeet Kaur said the whole team of the EduYouth Foundation is doing a great job in serving the society. Students get encouraged during such activities. The foundation is involved in various other activities, including free langar sewa, plantation and distribution of plants and trees, payment of fees of students belonging to underprivileged families and many more activities for welfare of society.
