Youth’s body found in temple pond

A youth died under mysterious circumstances at the Devi Talab temple here today.

The deceased was identified as Nurmeet, a resident of the Preet Nagar area.

According to police sources, the youth had gone to the temple in the morning but did not return home. Following this, the family lodged a complaint with the police and urged them to check the pond inside the temple. The police later called divers and retrieved the body from the pond.

The police have registered a case and are also checking the CCTV footage to identify the nature of the crime.
