‘Beyond the Clouds’ screened at film fest

SRINAGAR: Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s movie ‘Beyond the Clouds’ was screened on the third day of the ongoing Kashmir World Film Festival at Tagore Hall here on Friday.

Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s movie ‘Beyond the Clouds’ was screened on the third day of the ongoing Kashmir World Film Festival at Tagore Hall here on Friday.

Other movies that were screened during the day include Nitendra Singh’s ‘Baraf Pani’, Asiya Zahoor’s ‘The Stitch’, Ghasideh Golmakani’s ‘Online Shopping’, Ajitpal Singh’s ‘Rammat Gammat’, Sabarivasan Shanmugam’s ‘Talk to Me Precious’, Vikas Prashar’s ‘Pema’s Balloons’, Abdul Rashid Bhat’s ‘Green Gold on Fire’, Biswanath Rath’s ‘Kotpad Weaving’ and Pratibha Sharma’s ‘Amo Aaka Ekse’.

Meanwhile, radio jockey (RJ) Deevangna from FM Tadka’s Jaipur station interacted with the students and those interested in making their career in this field. She shared her journey and struggles faced so far. “It was not easy for me to become an RJ. There were so many challenges, but I faced them all and stood strong. One should never lose hope,” she added.

Festival director Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan said they were getting a positive response and good support. “The determination of students, film buffs and audience is prompting us to take the show forward,” Khan added. — TNS
