2-day conference on Urdu literature begins tomorrow

DODA: Government Degree College, Doda, is all set to host the first-ever international conference on Urdu literature on September 26 and 27.

Government Degree College, Doda, is all set to host the first-ever international conference on Urdu literature on September 26 and 27.

The topic for the conference is, ‘The message of benevolence, love and peace in Indo-Pak Urdu literature’.

In all, 50 delegates from different universities and colleges across the country and abroad are taking part in the conference. “Prof Ghulam Rabbani from Dhaka, Mahdia Nazad Sheikh and Humera Nazad Sheikh from Iran and Mustafa Allawdin Mohammed Ali from Egypt are participating in the conference,” Principal, Degree College, Doda, Shafqat Hussain Rafiqi said.

“We got confirmation from participants of Bangladesh, Iran and Egypt but the suspense over the participation of Pakistani delegates continues due to visa issues. However, they have sent us the papers for presentation during the conference,” he added. — OC
