Srinagar, January 17
Three policemen were injured in a grenade attack in Srinagar’s Rajbagh locality on Thursday afternoon, officials said.
The grenade was hurled at a police party near Zero Bridge injuring the three cops on duty.
“A policeman and two traffic personnel were injured in the blast,” an officer said.
The injured were shifted to hospital and their condition is said to be stable.
Soon after the incident, senior security officials reached the spot. The security forces also launched a search operation to trace the attackers.
This is the second grenade attack in Srinagar in the past six days. On January 11, militants targeted a CRPF bunker by hurling a hand grenade at Palladium Post in Lal Chowk area of the city. No one was injured in that attack.
